COMEC Copper And Aluminum Connectors Now Available From Galvan Industries

CHARLOTTE -- Galvan Industries is offering fast delivery on volume orders for its COMEC mechanical and compression electrical connectors in both aluminum and copper.

The Galvan COMEC line includes cast aluminum parallel groove clamps, dual rated extruded aluminum parallel groove connectors, dual rated solderless connectors and general purpose mechanical connectors.

Dual rated for copper and aluminum conductors, Galvan general purpose aluminum connectors are manufactured from high-strength 6061-T6 aluminum alloy for maximum strength and conductivity. They are used to connect grounding conductors and feature tin plating for corrosion resistance and low contact resistance.

These solderless connectors are UL listed and CSA approved, and install easily with a common screwdriver or allen wrench. Also, the connectors are reusable.

Galvan dual rated compression connectors are available in short and long-barrel versions as well as stackable configurations. CSA approved, UL listed and rated 90ęC, the compression connectors and splices are built of high conductivity 1350 alloy aluminum seamless tubing. They're tin plated and prefilled with an oxide inhibitor. Color coding assures easy identification and match-up with similarly colored compression dies.

In addition, Galvan supplies switchgear lugs and splices, splicer/reducers, panelboard connectors, rectangular and lay-in connectors as well as single conductor gutter taps, aluminum tap connectors, dual rated compression connectors, stacking connectors and neutral connectors.

Galvan Industries is the only U.S. manufacturer of both hot dip galvanized, copper clad and stainless steel ground rods.
